Jon and I - April 2006

Hello,
My name is Kareen (pronounced Karen). This is my 12th year teaching at Freedom Elementary School. I received my BS in Education from Keene State College and my M Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from SNHU. I previously taught Preschool in Alton, NH for three years.
I married my husband Jon on April 15, 2006. He has two sons, Tim 16 and Chris 14. Our twin girls, Alexis and Madelyn, were born on February 8, 2009. We live in West Alton, NH.
I have an older brother, who lives in Chicago with his wife and sons. I also have a younger sister who lives in Laconia, NH. My father and his wife live in West Alton and are still building a log home on their land in Piermont, NH.

In my spare time I always enjoy reading. Depending on the season, I also like to spend time on the lake (Winnipesaukee), whether at the beach or on our boat, snowmobiling, spending time with family and friends, motorcycle rides, and traveling, I like watching the National Geographic Channel, the History Channel, A&E, Jeopardy!, and the Discovery Channel.

Now that I have completed my master's degree, I plan to write a family memoir book. It will basically be a compilation of childhood memories and humorous family stories.
Note: The family memoir book is on hold due to the birth of the twins. One baby is a lot of work, two makes for a crazy life with no spare time for Mommy!
