Text Box: STUDENT FEES, FINES AND CHARGES Students are responsible for the care and upkeep of all school property. Any student is accountable for losses resulting from his or her involvement in: Damage to any school property (books, desks, buses, buildings, etc.) Lost books and materials assigned to and/or borrowed by the student. Reimbursement for such losses will be made to the Freedom School District. Report cards and/or the transfer of records may be withheld until all obligations are met. GUM CHEWING Students are not allowed to chew gum in the school building or on the school grounds during school hours. STUDENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE It is the policy of the Freedom School to take positive action through education, counseling, parental involvement, medical referral, and police referral in handling incidents on school property involving the possession, sale, and/or use of behavior altering substances. Any student in possession or under the influence of such substances will be immediately suspended from school for not less than three days. SMOKE-FREE/DRUG-FREE ZONE The Freedom Elementary School is a “Smoke-Free/Drug-Free” environment. This includes the building and surrounding grounds. Please adhere to this policy at all times.
