Text Box: LUNCH PROGRAM In cooperation with the Madison School, the Freedom Elementary School provides a hot lunch program for its students. Children are invited to participate. A lunch envelope is sent home every Friday and should be returned on Monday. All students must inform their teacher if they will be having a hot lunch on a daily basis as Madison School calls for the lunch count daily. This year we will offer a salad bar also, more information will follow later. Prices: Student Hot Lunch (with milk)…………………$1.75 Reduced * student price………………………… .40 Recess milk………………………………………. .30 Lunch milk/extra milk………………………….. .30 Adult lunch………………………………………. 3.00 Kindergarten recess milk……………………….. .05 *Students may qualify for a “Free or Reduced” cost lunch. Parents are urged to complete the necessary paper work to allow their child to participate in this program. The necessary applications are given out at the beginning of the school year, and parents are reminded that they may sign up any time during the school year. The approval process takes but a few days. Recess milk and/or extra lunch milk is not part of this program. The Madison School is responsible for the lunch program. LUNCH ROOM RULES Enter the lunch room quietly and find a seat. That will be your seat for the whole lunch period. Sit quietly until your table is called to go through the lunch line. Go through the lunch line quickly and politely. “Please” and “Thank You” should be heard often. Return to your seat and eat lunch properly. Talking is good, but yelling or talking between tables is not allowed. Students cannot leave the lunch room without permission from the teacher on duty. Raise your hand for permission to return trays or leave your seat. Pick up all trash around and under your seat. When signaled by the teacher, talking is not permitted. Line up quickly and quietly to leave the lunch room. People who cannot follow the lunch room rules will be removed from the lunch room.
